Maari Weiss

Project Specialist

As Project Specialist for the Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network, Maari creates resources and communications, both to engage with and support partners and to inform the media and the public. Prior to joining Generations United, Maari held jobs and internships that gave her the opportunity to engage in nonprofit and nonprofit-adjacent work. Most recently, she served as the research and communications assistant at The George Washington University (GW). Maari received her BA from George Mason University, and she earned a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from GW. Maari’s interest in Generations United’s work stems from a combination of her memories of her close relationships with her own grandparents and her commitment to social, racial, and economic justice and equity.
